Join us for an inspiring day, with a morning spent picking autumnal flowers and foliage from our extensive cutting garden here at Blooming Green in Kent, before learning how to make a foam-free ‘Autumn Compote’ arrangement with Joanne Truby, one of the country’s leading florists. Joanne will teach you how to create a natural foam-free design using an array of freshly picked autumnal ingredients. She will cover colour and composition as well as the mechanics involved in creating a natural-looking arrangement. After taking a break to enjoy a delicious lunch of local produce, you will then spend the afternoon creating your own compote design. Once your floral arrangement is complete, we will spend some time helping you to style your arrangement, ready to be photographed by the award-winning photographer Matilda Delves. The images will then be yours to add to your portfolio or use as you wish.
The course is aimed at budding florists with a desire to learn the ‘wild aesthetic’, without using florists’ foam, and who love using British flowers — but it is also suitable for those with some floristry experience who simply want to learn something new. The price includes all materials — flowers of course — a delicious lunch and professional images taken by Matilda Delves.
