Directions to Blooming Green

Blooming Green is just south of Maidstone, Kent between the villages of Linton and Boughton Monchelsea. We are based at Loddington Farm, and are easy to find if you follow the directions below. The postcode on its own will get you to Loddington Lane but not to the right place! Look out for signs to Blooming Green at the farm gate.

From Maidstone:

From Maidstone town centre, follow signs to Hastings / Loose, on the A229, turning right at the fork by the Wheat Sheaf pub. After approximately 2 miles, you’ll arrive at a major crossroads with a Shell garage on your right. Turn left, heading towards Boughton Monchelsea. After half a mile, turn right into Loddington Lane (the lane is soon after the village sign for “Boughton Monchelsea”).  Continue for quarter of a mile, and Blooming Green is the first farm entrance on your left.

From the M20 / Junction 8 / Leeds Castle
Follow signs for Leeds Castle. Continue past the main entrance on the B2163 towards Leeds village and Langley. Continue driving until you meet a staggered crossroads by the Plough Inn. Turn right, then immediate left, to continue on the B2163 towards Chart Sutton and Boughton Monchelsea. After 2.8 miles (having  passed the Cock Inn and crossed the pelican crossing at Boughton Primary School) Loddington Lane is on the left hand side. It is easily missed! If you get to the main Linton crossroads and the Cornwallis Academy, you have gone too far.

From Hastings / Cranbrook on the A229
Heading towards Linton on the A229, you will pass the Stile Bridge Inn on your left hand side.  Continue though the village of Linton, up Linton Hill, until you meet a major crossroads. Turn right (passing the Cornwallis Academy on your left). After half a mile, turn right into Loddington Lane (the lane is soon after the village sign for “Boughton Monchelsea”).  Continue for quarter of a mile, and Blooming Green is the first farm entrance on your left.

From the West
Come through Coxheath on the B2163. Cross straight over at the traffic lights / crossroads. After half a mile, turn right into Loddington Lane (the lane is soon after the village sign for “Boughton Monchelsea”).  Continue for quarter of a mile, and Blooming Green is the first farm entrance on your left.
